This feature allows the reversal of previously applied invoices.
Go to Billable Payment.
Open the payment transaction that has an error or incorrect application.
Payment status can be Open or Closed.
Check if the Reverse button is displayed.
If the Reverse button is not visible, note the receipt date and its applicable financial period.
Coordinate with Billing or Client Accounting to open the financial period.
Once the period is updated, reload the payment transaction.
Reversal per Transaction (last column):
Select the invoice to be reversed.
Click the Reverse button.
Confirm the reversal in the pop-up by clicking Yes.
Note: Reversal cannot be undone.
Reverse All:
Click the Reverse All button.
Confirm the complete reversal of all invoices in the pop-up by clicking Yes.
Note: Reversal cannot be undone.
A successful reversal will be tagged “Reversed”, and the applied invoice will no longer be associated with the payment.
Once reversed, the invoices will make the payment open for reapplication.
Make sure to apply the correct invoices.
