Manually allocate current and advance payments via credit memo
Note: If applicable, submit your requirements to Billing for credit memo creation.
After the credit memos have been created, open invoices for the account appear on the Documents To Apply tab.
Follow these steps:
Go to Manage Payments > Payment Application
Filter the payments by clicking the Application drop-down field:
a. Invoiced Credit Memo - These payments are already billed and due for allocation
b. No Invoice Yet - These are advance payments and have no billings yet
Select Invoiced Credit Memo. The list will be filtered.
Click a specific Reference # (ADJXXXXXXXXX) to view
Scroll down to the Documents To Apply tab and see which (open) Invoice # you will apply for the payment
Click on Enter Amount and type in.
The amount to be allocated should be less than or equal to the credit memo balance column.
Click "Apply" to submit.
